Everything Is Gonna Be Alright

As a small child
I was always very fearful
I would cry and make a fuss
Then the day came
I knew what it would take
To make me feel safe
In a fast paced changing world
That waits for no one.

I could hear His voice
But I did not know Him
And yet, I would hear
His voice saying to me,
"Everything is gonna be alright."

I never grew up with religion
No church background
I led a wild and crazy life
With no cares for anything
Then one day my world came
Crashing down all around me
I was alone in this world
And it rushed madly past me.

Sitting in a heap on the floor
I cried out and thinking no one
Is going to hear, and if they do
Why should they care?
A familiar voice spoken in silence
Yet spoken with authority
Again telling me,
"Everything is gonna be alright."

"I AM here for you every day,
And every single night,
Trust ME and walk with ME
And believe ME when I say
Everything is gonna be alright."
