Nindy Ellesse

Biography

She was born on April 16th, 1967 at Ambon. Then, when she was just three-month old, she moved to Jakarta and lived there ever since. Nindy had never thought of being a singer. She never thought she could sing and make albums to bless people. She, herself, had never take a formal vocal course. It seemed impossible for her to be a singer. That's why she called herself "A Miracle Singer".

Vision & Mission

Her vision and mission is to be a blessing to as many people as she can. She hopes that not only her music, but her life can also touch many lives. Her goal in life is to be a better person every single day. "Ora et Labora" (Pray & Work) is definitely one of the motto's that keep her freshen up to continue pursuing her goals.

According to Nindy, her biggest challenge in her ministry is not about the music, even though she struggles in that area too. It's also not about how to tackle the audience, but it's more of the people she works with. She said "There are many times when I thought people would always have good intentions to us, especially people in ministry. But experiences have taught me that they're not. They can look very nice outside, but you'll never know their inside." She had experience some people taking advantage of her career and name by using ‘ministry', whish is very wrong. But she has come to the point where she just surrendered them all to God. "We don't deal with them. God will deal with them", she said wisely.

On The Music, Worship, and Gospel

Music to Nindy is a medium or a way for us to enjoy the freedom and the presence of God. Through music, God could work in us, and give us strength and hope. However, a certain kind of music could also lead us astray. "All kind s of music are from God. The lyrics determine whether it's ‘good' or bad'. It depends on the message that the song carries", said Nindy.

Nindy describes her music as pop-ballad with the influence of Michael. W. Smith, Rod Stewart, and also Delirious?. When it comes to making her music, she trusted everything on her producer. "I've told you, I'm a miracle singer. Being able to make an album itself is a miracle to me already. So, I just trust all arrangements and songs to the producer. I just do the singing part."

Her previous albums were not a hundred-percent satisfying to her. "My team and I have done our best in making those albums. They haven't reach the top yet, but m quite satisfied with them", she said. However, Nindy is definitely hoping that her next projects could really touch as many people as she can.

"Worship to me is the realest form of obedience to God", said Nindy convincingly. Worship is not just about the music. In fact, music is just one part of it. Worship is about surrendering our life, plans, pride, and will to God. In any circumstance, we have to give thanks to God and just surrender everything to Him. Not just words, through our actions as well. She also said that as Christians, we all have the responsibility to spread the word of God, the gospel, nd the truth about the salvation

Besides singing, Nindy also preaches. She travels around to preach and testify at local churches. Many are blessed by her ministry. Some even got healed during her preaching session. God has done a lot through her life, and will still do in the years to come. We all hope that she would continue ministering to her voice and her preaching, and bring many people to God.
